Copper Supply uses only the cookies and device storage needed to keep you signed in and make the app work. No advertising or tracking cookies.
CSS International Ltd · Version of
Draft – pending solicitor review. This text is a working draft and may change before launch.
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Copper Supply uses. In short: we only use what is strictly necessary to run the service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include your browser's local storage and the cache a web app uses to work offline. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) lets us use technologies that are strictly necessary for a service you ask for without asking your consent first.
2. What we use
| Name or type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in cookies (names beginning "sb-") | Keep you signed in securely, and refresh your session | Until you sign out, or the session expires |
| Theme preference (local storage) | Remember whether you chose light or dark mode | Until you clear it |
| Drafts (local storage) | Keep an unfinished listing on your device so you don't lose it | Until you post it or clear it |
| App install prompt (local storage) | Remember that you dismissed the "install app" message | Until you clear it |
| Offline cache (service worker) | Store public pages and app files so the site loads on slow connections and shows an offline page | Until updated or cleared |
When you pay, you are taken to Stripe's checkout page, which sets its own cookies for security and fraud prevention under Stripe's policies.
3. What we don't use
We don't use advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that follow you across sites. If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.
4. Managing cookies
You can delete cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. If you block the sign-in cookies, you won't be able to sign in. Clearing site data also removes drafts and the offline cache.
